About
Complete Build 2000-2001 (Ground Up)
- Ford never made a coupe version of the Mustang Cobra, so I built my own!
Specs
- Approx. rear wheel horsepower is 320
- Best 1/4 mile time 13.64 on BFG Comp T/A street tires.
- Never ran with slicks.
Mods
Engine - 306c.i., balanced rotating assm., zero decked block, shot peened stock rods, .200 domed pistons, ported and polished heads, Harland Sharpe roller rockers, Clevite bearings throughout, Comp Cam .280 duration/.512 lift camshaft, Comp valve train, Edelbrock intake and carb.
Exhaust - Mac 1 5/8 shorty headers, Mac 2 1/2 h-pipe, Flow Master 2 1/2 two chamber cat-back with stainless tips
Transmission - TCI C-4, 2,800 rpm Street Fighter Stall
Brakes - Ford 4 wheel disc, 5-lug conversion
Suspension - Mac upper and lower rear control arms, HP Motorsport weld-in subframe connectors, KYB Gas-A-Just shocks and struts, HP Motorsport Caster/Camber plates, custom 6 point roll cage
Body - Cervini fiberglass hood and spoiler
Wheels/Tires - '98 Mustang Cobra 17x8 / 245/45ZR17 Kumho
