About
Please say hi and leave your comments about the Cougar. I hope you enjoy checking out the car!
-Joe
The mods done to the Cougar have come slowly over the course of the last two years and have been moving toward a true pro touring class car. Nothing is done to excess, but all is done to be much better than stock. I started where I was most familiar, the audio system. It has gone through a couple of stages and the final upgrade/integration will be done over the winter. I've also updated the paint, body lines and interior to add more personality to the vehicle. Performance upgrades have just scratched the surface so far. More signficant upgrades will come later, after the last of the visual cues are finished.
So, what makes the Cougar a pro touring class car? Every system in the vehicle is somehow upgraded from performance and handling to comfort and convienience. Each step makes it a more desirable vehicle in its own category; better audio system (self explanatory), wider tires for more grip and handling, better intake and exhaust for better performance; all of this makes it not only a better performer or more comfortable ride, but also more dependable. No matter how far the customization goes, the car must remain rock solid and good for daily driver duties. In the spirit of pro touring, the Cougar will get me where I want to go comfortably, reliably and perform well once it arrives.
