Brandy is my money pit. She had a complete frame off restoration in 1991 and I purchased her 10 years later. For the most part she had been a trailer queen and her health had diminished by the time she found her way under my xmas tree in 2001. Over the past couple years the only bolts that haven't been turned are her body bolts and they are all getting polished stainless steel upgrades this winter. Last winter she went through a "Pro-Touring" upgrade and received a performance suspension system from Air Ride Technologies, huge six and four piston Wilwood brakes powered by a hydra booster as well as a performance steering box. This winters upgrades include fuel injection (new polished stainless steel gas tank, new lines, and an Accel DFI Gen7) and a TKO 5-speed transmission. I was going to do a T56 6-speed, but that would have ran over $8k.

The thing I find most amazing about Brandy is her paint. She was restored and painted by a gentleman named Bob Brand in his garage. The paint you see in my pictures is 16 (SIXTEEN) years old and still looks like it was painted just yesterday.

As the old saying goes "Chrome won't get you home", but it will give you something to polish while waiting for a tow to take you the rest of the way :)
