About

This car was the first 1960 model sold by the Nebraska State Patrol in 1961. Paid $895 for it.
This car was very light for it's size tipping the scales at just over 3200#.
I ran it from '61 til '65 in A/SA in CA, GA & FL and never lost a contest.

Specs

383Ci Police high performance, AFB 4bbl with unsilenced aircleaner, dual point distributor, factory HP exhaust manifolds, 727 push button auto, radio delete, 3.91 rear gears, 12" brakes all around, oversized torsion bars up front, 7 leaf springs rear, no undercoating or sound deadener, rubber floor mats with no backing making for a very fast and very light all steel bodied car.

Factory Options

All the above listings in the Specs section were factory options order by the Nebraska State Patrol.

Mods

Modified exhaust so it could be opened for racing. Later when they we allowed by race officials cheater slicks were added.

This car remained just as used by the Nebraska State Patrol the only things they removed before selling was the lights, siren, and radio.
