About

I've owned this car since '86. It started out as a big project but as I dug deeper into it, it turned into a mojor project. I bought it from an old friend of mine. We had lots of good times in this car! We'd take it out on Friday nights and tear up the competition with it and usually break something. We'd limp it or tow it home and rip it apart. Saturday we'd go to the "yard" or parts store and get what we needed and put it back together and take it out Saturday night and do it all again! When he got engaged, he decided to sell it. I bought it with the promise I'd make it better than it was in the "Glory Days". I've had it so long and bragged it up so much that when I do this car it HAS to be right!

Specs

Right now this car is just a shell on a body dolly. It's going up on a rotisserie soon and getting completely sandblasted. Every component will be new or completely refurbished. Engine will be a built 350. Trans is still a question. Rear end is a 3.73 posi 12 bolt. There will be a '79 Firebird Formula sub-frame going under it (with lots of fabricating). Going to get a roll bar and 5 point harnesses. It's still in the planning stages so things may change. (don't they always?)

Factory Options

Going to get the look of an all original SS, but that will only be skin deep!

Mods

All still in the planning stage, but I do know I'm putting a '79 Formula sub-frame under it.
