- Man, I am having the same problems with my Monte. Mine's a 2002 SS. My tranny just went out yesterday. Can't GM make a tranny that will last more than 66,000 miles? I can honestly say that I babied this car because it's my daily driver. Hopefully it will be covered by the warranty. The only way I could get it fixed at a dealership within a month was to take it to the Cadillac dealer.

About
I have had this car since about last June and it has served me well. Pulls hard and handles great for its size, which isnt to big. I had a rebuilt transmission installed and a new MAF sensor put on rescently. I have about $1,600 invested in it.

Exhaust
Jul 20, 2006
I'm thinking about getting rid of my stock dual exhaust and going with either Magnaflow or Flowmaster mufflers. I'm not sure if I'm going to go catless or not. I'm still looking around and trying to see what other people have done and what they have to say....
