About

This is my 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo I have owned for the past 12 years. I built the 454 and the 400 trans. for it in 2005.Did all the body work on it in 2006 and finally built the rear end in 2007. Now after snapping off the left rear wheel studs during a burnout plans to redo the body again. Probably making some changes during the process. It runs a 8.6 at 80 mph in the 1/8th mile. I am guessing its around 400 HP never had it dyno. Overall its a fun car to drive and play with.

Specs

454 bored 30 over; 9.5-1 pistons; 520 lift comp cam: 1.7 crane roller rockers; edelbrock performer intake; 750 Holley carb; Holley mech. fuel pump; headman headers; 2.5 flow master exhaust

Turbo 400 trans; B&M sift kit; B&M 2,500 stall converter: B&M shifter: B&M line lock with t-handle button.

12 bolt rear end; Richmond 3:73 gears; Strange spool: Moser alloy axles: Moser c-clip eliminators.

Center line wheels 15x7 in front and 15x8 in the rear with Mickey Thompson SS radials L50s

Hotchkins springs and Energy suspension bushings

Best pass was a 8.63 at 83 mph in the 1/8th mile.
