Jan 11, 2007 at 3:20 pm: I never owned one, I just flew them in the National Guard. I also was a Crew Chief on active duty.

They can be had. One just needs to look. Operating costs are somewhat high. It usually burns 550 lbs/hour. That alone gets pricey.

Now I fly Blackhawks. I would still rather fly the Ol' girl.

Started my Army Career as a Huey Crewchief 1988. Then in 2004 I went to the transition course at Ft. Indiantown Gap! I finally got to fly it...on the record. I was lucky enought to fly on Hueys through DS/DS. Hueys still serve as of this writing!
