Turns out it was the alternator and the Voltage regulator. As I believe I mentioned earlier, the Alternator was pretty crappy to begin with, and I didnt even think of the Voltage Regulator. needless to say, replacing the regulator came out to 10 dollars and a headache. FOMOCO mounted that thing in a tight spot, but I got it out in about an hour, replaced it, put in the Alternator, and hooked everything back up in less than another hour. Turned her on, flipped on the lights and the surging has stopped.
well, my laundry list of repairs to get her on the road is getting shorter, and thats a good thing, as my laundry list of mods is waiting...
