This car has a crazy story. It is my Aunt and Uncles car, and has been sitting in his barn since 1989. recently resurrected from certain death, by myself because he was planning on leaving it outside for the winter to put his machines inside the barn. therefor it is spending some quality time with me.
The original 400 pontiac that was in it, to my understanding, was chopped and had parts stolen out of it at a shady car shop. they replaced good parts with broken ones and it blew the motor.
So we found a nice and shiny 455 big block to drop in and get ready to roll again. The car is surprisingly in a very solid and workable condition. it is going to need new paint, tires, possibly rims, and a whole lot of love to get her out on the road.
When I was a little girl and under the influence of my dad, I always wanted a Chevelle SS.
Since I grew up I started to get a clearer vision - a -67 Pontiac GTO was my dreamcar =)
But I don't have that kind of money so i started to look for a Tempest or a LeMans instead. Here in Sweden all GM A-body's are quite popular (they sell fast) , so I began to look at ads in the US for Pontiacs for sale. But I found it difficult to decide for a vehicle over there when I'm here...
So, one day an ad here in Sweden pops up about a -67 LeMans (that's recently been imported to Sweden from US), I went to look at it, decided to buy it, and two days later me and my boyfriend went there with a trailer to get it home.
When we got it home, we took out all of the interior (except the headliner which was new) and have now started to restore it.
