This car I bought in Dec. of 2004 BONE STOCK. I was a standard 5.0 that wasnt in the best of shape. When I bought it I took it to the track it ran 9.90 in the 1/8 mile. As it sits now (without the supercharger), the last time I ran the car it ran 8.03 at 87 mph in the 1/8 and 12.60 at 107 mph in the 1/4. Currently I have this done to the car (takes deep breath..lol) AFR 185cc heads,trickflow stage 2 cam, BBK SSI intake, #24 injectors, 75mm MAF sensor, 70mm TB,Full custom exhaust w/ long tube headers, 1.6 FRPP roller rocker arms, rebuilt bottom end ( stock though), This car use to be an auto, it is now a 5 speed manual, Stock t-5 with world class rebuild kit, Stock clutch, and stock gear, Lowering springs, 5 star chrome pony rims, Mach 1 ram air hood, Stalker front bumper, saleen wing. And now it is currently supercharged thanks to a Vortech V-2 SQ S-trim. Thats the most part any other question just shout at me!!!
It all started when i decided my life would not be complete untill i owned a Mazda RX7. I looked at many but none grabbed my attention at first glance (Not only women should be able to do this boys!)
After looking at many different RX7's, One of my mates rang me up to tell me his friend was selling a Series 3 RX7, He had no idea what condition it was in, But he passed on a number. I ended up going to look at it that night.
It was 9pm by the time i left, I didnt have a torch and had no idea where i was going. After a bit of stuffing around i got to the house and there it was, Sitting in the driveway. It was defently love at first sight. I drove off with it 30 minutes later. I was very VERY happy!
unfortunately for me, Within a month the diff had sheered off some teeth, The gearbox was not engaging first all the time, The clutch had let go and the engine had spat out an apex seal. So off the road she came. I was going to just dodgey everything up to get her back on the road, But i decided if i was going to do it, I may as well do it properly the first time! Its been almost 2 years now. Hopefully she will be on the road by christmas.
