The tale of how i found and bought this stang is quite an epic, so ill keep it short.
This is my first Mustang, and i love it. I honestly have never seen another with the same style of painting on the hood, and others tell me the same.
Well, the dealer i bought it from had it in a performance shop, along with 3 corvettes, a newer GTO and a classic GTO, as well as some custom bike motors and two dragsters in the back.
When the transmission had to be replaced, the dealer called and said they didnt have the stock torque converter, TCC solenoid, or shift solenoid, and i could either wait a week for them to get em in, or they could use the aftermarket ones they had in stock. I laughed at the free mods and told him to use them. He warned that the car would shift differently, and i might want to invest in a transmission cooler. When we picked up the car, we noticed the difference immediately, how the car sometimes chirped the tires as it shifted to second. :D
When installing the midpipe, my friends called me over to point out that the bell housing had been marked by the company that did the work on the transmission. Label read "Performance Automatics: Specializing in Racing Transmissions" and had a number to call. I called the number and they verified that the 3 parts were indeed aftermarket upgrades, and they didnt use the old transmission for the 99's, but the newer 4r70w automatic transmission. :D Score! Free newer tranny with racing parts!!
Well to start I bought the car off a retired cops' wife...guess she wanted a sunfire instead..oh well good for me :-D
well it was the first 5 speed/sports car i owned...did pretty well for being completly stock for the first year i had it...went through a couple rear ends....i love my burnouts....now i am trying to mod it up to 900 rwhp...i will get there someday!! I Love my car...wont ever get rid of it :-D
