My brother Dean enlisted in the Navy recently and asked me, his 18 year old little sister, to take care of his Camaro SS convertible for him while he is in the service. (He's either very trusting or very stupid!) He knew from the day he bought the car that I loved it, but until now he never even let me drive it! He lived a couple hundred miles from us, but came home for a week visit before leaving for basic training, and he checked me out on the car before he left. To make everything official, he put the car in my dad's name (so the insurance would cost less!), but I'm taking care of paying for everything including basic upkeep, regestration, inspection, and insurance. Dad even volunteered to park his car outside so mom's car and the Camaro can be parked in the garage. The Camaro will only come out to play on clear days with no chance of rain or snow. My Cavalier will still be my daily car. I want to be able to return the car to my brother in as good a shape as it's in now!
I wasn't looking for a car, but I saw this GTA and just fell in love. Its super mean looks just hypnotized me, I couldn't get it out of my head for two days. So I ended up going back to get her in August 2008. I moved from Wisconsin to Las Vegas, NV July 2009 and I drove the GTA all the way there. Now she gets to live the rest of her life on the west coast getting driven year round, instead of spending 6 months in the garage every year.

The car is optioned with a hard top, beechwood leather interior, and a fully digital dash made from liquid crystal display screens. It has power locks, windows, tilt wheel, cruise control, cold A/C, hatch pull down motor, 4 wheel disk brakes, pretty much the only thing its missing is T tops. (I don't like T tops anyways)
I have not and will not do anything to this car. I'm keeping it the way my brother 'gave' it to me so he'll get it back the same way. I don't know what he may have done to it. I didn't ask, but he didn't mention anything.
I have not done many mods, I have just been enjoying it and replacing 22 year old original parts. So far I have replaced the fuel pump, water pump, alternator, battery, and I have had the air conditioner filled up with R-12 so it blows as pretty cold even in 100+ degree heat. The only real performance mods I have done is a K&N cone filter, De-screened the mass air flow sensor, throttle body coolant bypass mod, a hypertech thermomaster computer chip, and a 160 thermostat. I have installed a Sony Xplod head unit, HD radio tuner, all new Pioneer speakers, 600 watt sony amp, and a sub. (sub and amp are hidden totally out of sight in the spare tire well) For appearance I have a Hawks fiberglass spoiler, chrome exhaust tips, and a shorty antenna. I have also replaced the fog light lenses, rebuilt the pop up headlamp motors, and installed sylvania silverstar bulbs in everything.
