Well, we had a great weekend...not perfect, but a fun one anyway!
Alot of our old friends came out to the track to hangout for what will be the last outing for the FlashBack in '08.
I had the best string of reaction times over the course of the two days than I have had in a long time, too bad it took me to the end of the year to get my head in the game! we ranged from a perfect .000 up to a somewhat dismal .068 but when we had the "bad light" the competitors helped us out by having a worse .098 light!!
Through in a few other good lites (.005 .006 .015) and a few others that would do the job (.021 .025 .035 .027 .042 etc) and you'll be able to tell that we went a few rounds at least!
Terry Stumpf's sister and her family were on hand to remember, with the rest of us, what a great guy and competitor that Terry was...it seems just like yesterday I was watching and admiring him and that '68 Factory Super Stock 428CJ Mustang take it to the competition!
I wish I could have brought home the wins in his honor....but we did have a great outing and that is what Terry was all about at the races, having a great time racing with your friends and if a win or two came along (which they did for him quite often) so be it.
The weather was just picture perfect, the car was running great, and even I did a pretty good job behind the wheel once again...it was a much needed "shot in the arm" for me.
God Bless Ya Terry....you are still missed by many and in our prayers.
    G.
