I just had some questions and concerns regarding my 2002 Lincoln LS V6, I know that yes there is normal wear and tear in the fact that it IS almost 10 years old. It was never treated any different than any other car for 10 years, in which brings up some questions. The car has 124K miles on it but it still runs great.
When my grandfather owned this car for those 10 years he used regular 87 oct fuel in it all that time and never treated it to the recommendation inside the gas cap that recommends premium. After all that time if I start running premium will that cause any issues regarding the build up inside from the regular gas ran through it all that time. Just today I filled it with premium however im still worried if the car will act differently for the worst.
The other concern was that, should I run any type of injection cleaner etc through it to keep it running clean, I dont hear or feel any issues with the car.
Another thing that bothers me, maybe it's just me is that when I place the car in drive it has a 1 - 1.5 sec delay before it actually goes into it, is this normal and if not what can I do to fix it.
Theres some little dents of probably someone opening a door in a parking lot and backing their car up across the side of my car, what it appears as at least.
The little guard at my rear left tire is coming apart in the sense that the screw is completely out and is being held by the other on the opposite side.
Minor scratches on the bumper and rear panel.
Moisture in the head lights (Foggy)
My Uncle a while back bottomed it out a bit and the front plastic of the bottom of the car came apart and is not being held by zip ties (2) but still is coming down a bit.
Maybe it's just me because it's a new car and I wanna keep it up as best as I can and Im looking for little ways I can improve it
