I don't recall that Mike. Usually it's the other way around... Across the parking lot to the Gas Station... but sounds like some one was trying to get 'er started. LOL

I was coming home late one night after the "hot date at 8 was over"! smile image LOL. Driving my '69 LeMans when I saw a tire and wheel that had fallen off what appeared later to be a mobile home carrier right in the middle of my north bound lane (2 lane hwy). Saw it too late to swerve around it so all I could do was try to straddle it. eek image

Wouldn't you know it, the car was too low to the pavement and the wheel lodged against the oil pan and frame underneath the car. I got my car off the road before completely stopping. I was only about 1 mile from our farm. Had to jack up the front end to drag the wheel out from under the car! Bent the oil pan... engine was tapping. Had to get it to the shop the next day and have an oil pan put on 'her. That was a scary moment!

Good 'ole LeMans Coupe w/vinyl top... 350ci/400tr, 273 gears, AC, PS, PB, 8-Track and a beautiful girl. Those were good days... still got the girl... so I can honestly say that these are still good days! LOL! veryhappy image tongue image veryhappy image

scratchchin image Reminds me of Solargold's sig ! wink image

I believe it was a 97 Trans Am. Lost his fuel pump in Nashville. Helped Gary from Restore A Muscle Car diagnose the problem, I held his drink while he crawled under the car uninvolved image

I don't think Gary Otto is with Restore A Muscle car any longer. Per my sources he is now helping to build the 2010 Firebird Conversions.

You got that right... That wasn't planned... It was one of those moments where you get half way past someone and it's too late... You either go for it or you don't make it... The road was slightly curved and you couldn't get a good view of what was coming until it was too late... Don't worry, we don't drive crazy on The Bandit Run intentionally to take out innocent drivers...

rotfl image You were giving instructions for sure and sipping the drink all along... that was my kind of helping. I remember Chris' car needing a fuel pump but didn't link it to the pushing across the PL. LOL.

my responce wasnt to the guy who went around a truck but to the guy bragging he was racing a gto and the lanes dropped and they about wrecked!thats not a good example of people on the bandit run and if any news stations or papers got wind of this kind of childish acts it could promote negativity towards the bandit run you know 1 person can ruin it for everyone.lets have a safe bandit run without trying to destroy anyone lives or future.
