Had a blast even though my new exhaust (or, to be more precise, the poor job the muffler shop did installing it) was giving me fits. After 2,715 miles of listening to the leaf springs slap the bottom of the driver's side exhaust AND the high-pitched squeak where the exhaust pipe connected with the floor pan and the rear fender, I can now say I am completely tone deaf.

Great seeing all the friends I met in 2008 and making some new ones.

If I make it next year and it turns out to be an east coast run, I may need to make special arrangements with jwf to ship my car to Hotlanta.

Bring it on Tinman! It would be my pleasure to assist!!!!!!! biggrin image

    Loon

P.S. before all the girls out there 'blast' me. D laughed and said she had no doubt it was better than our honeymoon... she is very supportive of my addiction wink image

    Loon,
I will have to say that our honeymoon... almost 30 years ago.... was quite the event. Hotel caught on fire in Daytona Beach, went to see the first 'Alien' movie and got skeered, then left for Orlando (Disney) the next morning only to have the Blue TA 6.6 I drove this year on the run break a crank shaft on I-4. This run only could only have been improved if my bride had been with us! Then, it might just rival the honeymoon!!!!!!!!!! On the other hand, the hotel might have caught on fire again and the car break. Should I always leave Sherrie at the house given our record?

Oh well, who knows... had a blast... got to go pick her up for lunch now... bye! wink image

I proposed this week, (the night we stayed at Gaylords) and Christie Jo and I had such a blast we are talking of making it our honeymoon trip next year!! biggrin image

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH!! wink image
