Should be a blast. For the folks that PM me, I have enclosed Martin's address & phone # to get more info.

Like Daniel said, all that want to follow us up to the event from Concord-Charlotte area, leaving at 3pm. It takes 1 hour to get there.

We even have a AWESOME looking Starsky & Hutch car making the ride with us!

Sorry man, it appears things have come up and we will be unable to attend this event. Hopefully someone else will post some pics.

biggrin image biggrin image biggrin image AWESOME TIME YA"LL!! biggrin image biggrin image biggrin image Hate you all could not make it. Smokey & the Bandit, Gumball rally, some old Dukes jump footage, & plus good food , friends, & cars. We had all of our cars there plus even a General Lee, a Rosco Police car,& a old Herbie bug!! The weather was great, just alittle on the chilly side. Clear night complete with shooting stars that happened the whole time we were there! Martin & his family did a super job of getting everything together. The outdoor screen was almost 30ftx30ft! Crystal clear picture & sound! Martin is talking of doing this again in the spring before time changes back.

    I hope he does.

I got to see Smokey & the Bandit on the big screen with my Dad when it first came out 30 years ago. Dad is not with me to do it again. He always wanted a Bandit Trans-Am. So seeing it last night with my car was almost like he was with me in spirit.

Thanks for the great time Martin!

Yes it was a great time, with great friends and their cars.

Like Grant said, a little on the chilly side. Glad those Pontiac motors get plenty hot that warmed me up on the way home.

Martin and his family are to be commended. I will be there next time. I encourage everyone to make the trip.

My car was happy too. It also got to see the movie again. Last time was at the drive-in back in '77.

    Rick,

I tried taking pictures, but my camera didn't do so well. The screen is blurry in every shot. But the cars in the fore ground came out nice.

Looks like it was a great time, wish I could have made it. I have no money therefore no gas so there was no way of getting 2 hours east of my house. Hopefully next time I can make it. Thanks for posting photos.

    Hey Ric,

Maybe you can post one or two of the night scenes. Even though there crappy, evryone can get an idea of what it was like.
