OMG, Foxy...THAT brings back memories of my trip to Australia in 1997 and several "barbies" (best one was on the beach in Wollongong).

We try to have them here in Texas but our shrimp are a bit bigger than most and we have a hard time getting them to fit on the grill...

There will be a bonfire Tuesday night on the beach at the Beau Rivage. And yes, someone will be having a drink singing East Bound and Down. It's just the way we roll.

Any day above ground is a GOOD day!!!

Im not sure whats planned for Wednesday (if anything) but if yall have free time and would like to check out something other than the casinos, heres a few ideas.

About 30 back to the west around exit 4 on I-10....you can go check out the NASA testing facilty...this is where NASA tested the engine for the Saturn moon rockets and the space shuttles. NOAA has facilities there as well as other major aero space companies...its a pretty good tour.

About an hour to the east over in Mobile, you have the USS Alabama battleship and USS Drum submarine. These are both from WW2 and open for tours. There are also airplanes and other military type stuff on display....such as a B52, SR71 etc etc.

Also in the Mobile area is Bellingrath Gardens, this is a home and lavish gardens that was originally constructed by some Coca Cola big wig back in the 1930s I think. They have acres and acres of different sorts of plants and flowers blooming year round (guys, this is a good way to score points with the Mrs if she likes this sorta thing)

If you like dog racing, Mobile has a greyhound race track to bet on the doggies.

An hour to the north here in Hattiesburg, the military museum at Camp Shelby is a good way to kill 1.5-2hrs. Camp Shelby is the largest National Guard training base in the US....currently training various units from all over the country to go overseas.

If yall want to see an old Civil war fort out in the gulf of mexico, then take the hour long ferry ride to Ship Island where Fort Massachusetts is located.

I'll try to think of other interesting things for those who like to venture off to explore.
