I've looked into this, and only found out that either, there is no real store to visit, or they are locked up and people can only get in by appointment.
    .
If you know otherwise, do tell, as I'd be interested if there IS something to see.
By looking the address up using Google Earth, its just in a boring industrial park with very little to look at. Might not be worth the effort/ drive if that's all there is to it!

you're gonna get all the way into biloxi, then backtrack 146 miles back to Baton Rouge? why not just stop by Red Jacket on your way through Baton Rouge to begin with?

Larrymow is right. We will cross the Mississippi in Baton Rouge from Lafayette to Biloxi. Red Jacket is around the river. Why not send them an email and see if they would be willing to ride over to Lafayette and visit us? Call Troy from Swamp People too, CHoot Um, Choot Um. Then in Hammond we can have Axe Man "Swamp Man" Shelby Stanga and Swamp People Mike Kliebert eat lunch with us. Just dont let a gator eat Fred.

Any day above ground is a GOOD day!!!

Speaking of Swamp Man Shelby Stanga, my mother sent this photo. We had a camp back in the 80's on the Tangipahoa River in Ponchatoula, LA. Shelby and my family helped one another out on the river. They went down this past weekend to see if they could find him and they did. Here is the sign that greeeted them at his gate:

    Solargold -

    To say "he ain't right" would be a tremendous U N D E R S T A T E M E N T.

'Course anyone that acts that way and has a TV show is likely way more smarter than we give him credit. biggrin image

FYI: Contacted Red Jacket and they said they are opening a new retail outlet. The address is 9683 Mammoth Ave Baton Rouge, LA 70814 They said they will be open 10-5 the day we pass by Baton Rouge. Just wanted to check in case any of you decide to make a side trip.
