Well, will we be able to meet the cast since we can't go to the shop?

So does this mean you guys are scrapping the idea of Red Jacket and just coming with us to the gator farm? If so, chime in on the Hammond lunch stop post with your lunch preferences (if you haven't done that already) so I can add you in. Thank You smile image

Here is how I feel on the whole deal, if Red Jacket isn't receptive to our visit, other than dropping money in their pockets at the gift shop, then the hell with it, we have a standing invitation to lunch at the gator farm, and they seem to be welcoming us with open arms.

I'm spending my time for the enjoyment of the adventure, and if RJF is going to be a PITA, I can very easily not bother going there. No skin off my ass!

It's not like we are not giving them a fair advance notice of our visit.

My thoughts exactly.....its almost like they dont care or need potential new customers with all the celebs that they now have on the show (Garrett Hartley, Jesse James, and Max Brooks).

I tend to agree with everyone, the Gator people seem interested in our visit. Not so much with others. Sign me up for some Tail, Gator that is..

I liked the idea of meeting the cast at least and seeing the shop would be nice as well. I agree that it seems we are not being welcomed there. The gator farm is less appealing to me BUT a welcomed invitation is very appealing in itself. RJF doesnt want us there clearly so I say hell with em.

I can see where RJF has to draw a line and say "No" to just anyone that wants to see the shop. Insurance regulations probably has a lot to do with that. I would have been interested in going over there to see the shop, but because I'm not a gun owner, and really don't faithfully follow the show, I could care less about a gift shop. If they can't make an exception for a group, then so be it. If anyone wants to stop by the gift shop, fell free to do so. I think I'll head in a different direction. Just so happens that the USBC National Bowling Tournament is being conducted in Baton Rouge this year. I haven't missed too many of those over the past 15 years or so, but didn't make this one. (Had a better offer. biggrin image ) I may just stop by there and pick up a few things to try and better my game.
