Without a doubt having a CB radio on the Bandit Run adds exponentially to the fun...I wouldn't leave home without one! Beyond that (for me), a decent sound system is next along with classic tunes.

Prior to my first run in 2008, I replaced the failed, original Delco AM/FM in the '76 with a Custom AutoSound stereo and CD changer. I liked it so much, I ordered a similar set-up for my '73 but elected to add a USB port as well. I'm having a blast loading up my 32Gb flash drive with CDs I haven't played in years!

Anyway, I find that each year I've been on a 'Run, a particular song seems to rise to the top of my play list. Here's what were on previous years:

    2007 (did not attend)
2008 "Start Me Up"; Rolling Stones
2009 "Kick Start My Heart"; Motley Crue
    2010 "Sweet Emotion", Aerosmith
    2011 (did not attend)

This is my vote for 2012: http://www.yo...v=-BwKGFb0PgI

    What's running through your speakers?

    Tinman

Growing from the 70s-thru 80s , The wife and I enjoy our hair bands, just good happy cruisin tunes, but when the disco ball comes out and the lights dim, anything that you can thrust your body around too works for us....wiggle, wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle...YA! biggrin image

You might look into a radio shop adding that usb stuff so you can enjoy your tunes as you are running Bro!... Just saying... I ditched all my 8 tracks in the 75 so I could enjoy my tunes on my ipod as I moved down the road. ( BTW blame Shaker on pulling me into the 21st century with him!) lmao image lmao image lmao image

Yes, the iPod with the FM transmitter works really well with a FM radio. Tune that FM to 88.1-88.7 and play till your heart's content.

As far as songs... I had a couple picked out the other night but this darn site crashed before I could answer Tinman's calling...

"Turn Up The Radio" may be my pick this year but the classics still reign down...

"East B & D" will likely still be my fav...

    or "Life is a Highway".

Loon... guess I'm showing my age again ashamed image ... I don't believe that I have heard of a single group you named...

What ever happened to Jerry Reed, Waylon and Willie, and those guys... am I that old? Heck, when I grew up, we also listened to Three Dog Night, Steppenwolf, and the Young Rascals (who have likely turned 100 or over in their graves).

Foo Fighters? Black Keys? I have a black key that goes to my Truck but it don't play music unless I use it to turn the truck on - does that count?
