Sweet. Hey what type of CB are you running? I'm trying to find something small yet powerfull for the run. Also a small antenna that won't look like crap on the car.

How's this thing go back together???

The best place to find what you are looking for is at a Truckstop (Pilot or TA or FlyingJ truckstop, etc). They usually have a great selection of Cobra's, Galaxy's, and Midland's to choose from. Seems I recall both Cobra and Midland offer a very small 40 channel for under $100. Get it tuned... that's the key...by a CB shop usually located around the truckstop.

I personally use a Cobra 25LTD Classic that is about the same age as my Trans Ams. smile image

We picked up a Cobra Classic at Flying J for just over $100. It's period correct for our second gens, in case anyone cares. I had it tuned a the local CB shop, it's now pushing 30 watts. Works fine.

10-4, we gone and on the side.

    Keep on Pontiyakkin'

So getting it tuned will get the most distance out of it? I've got a truck driver friend that has a few extras, thinking about just barrowing one of his. In 08 I was running just a small hand-held unit that was made back in the 70's for emergency use. Any good ideas for a small antenna?

Yeah, no more than you will use one, borrowing a radio will suffice.

Don't get me wrong everyone, the new radios are plug and play! They don't have to be tuned at all to work. The radios are just like cars, they run but if you want them to run faster, then on with the modifications! The CBs "send and receive" to/from a greater distance if they are tuned. You don't have to get them tuned. Up to you. wink image

As far as racing...You'll get your opportunity hopefully at either West Palm Intn'l Raceway or Disney's! Deb is working on it! wink image

Clint has to respond hmmm I think I have 3 videos I can post of me blowing him off the road...timeslips don't mean nothing when you are not racing the guy on the strip. Fact of the matter is I am pushing 750 ponies and a measly 500 with nitrous maybe. I have always gotten crap from many and crazy eyes and it's cool I love it but they all know who has the fastest car. They just don't like that it's naturally aspirated. I can throw YouTube vids out there if they like!!!!! Oh and I still an high elevens spinning in every gear wow amazing...

Macs car didn't offer to run anything he's full of crap... If he wants I have 10 gs to prove it so put your money where your mouth is. Popping your clutch and burning tires doesn't mean anything and Ron is right my ears are burning from these trash talkers. I actually gave Ron a ride in Johnson city ask him. Dude I run high tens when I can hook... I doubt you even break 13
