This should complete my vision of a "Modern Day Bandit" that has the feel of the original and the performance of a supercar. I hope everything comes out ok.
Take care one and all and I'm looking forward to seeing ya on the run.

Manny, Gotta keep me up on how the performance is on that one after the Procharger... Can't decide turbo , magnacharger or procharger on the basket case..

I had plans of putting one on my car just like Manny is doing while I was in Afghanistan. But... I'm looking to buy a house while the intrest rates are down and and would be spending upwards of $10k to do it along with a built motor.

I've been building my car @ss backwards with a built 9" then just dropped a Stage IV 4L60E tranny in the car. Next will be motor and procharger. Seems like theres always something around the house that needs fixed or replaced, like the house itself.

Maybe for Bandit Run 2011 scratchchin image

I'm going to have to see if Manny will take me for a spin. That car is going to be a whole different car with it on there. biggrin image

How's this thing go back together???

    Update:

As of lastnight the car is back together and driveable. Finnally got my bolt on Monday. Starting to attach the swaybar but got pulled off the car for something on the "Honey Due" list. So buttoned it all up on Tuesday. Pulled off the Drag Radial and put back on the street tires. Pulling out of the garage I was scraping and in the drive way. Went and put air in all the tires. 40psi in the rear and 42psi in the fronts, pulling back in the garage no scraping.

Thinking I'll give a friend that has a lift and welder a call and see if we can fab up a y-pipe and intermedary pipe that will tuck in close to the body for clearance. scratchchin image

Still plenty of other stuff to do. biggrin image

well, been working myself into a frenzy, trying to get all the little things on the turbo car ready, the subframe bushings were so bad that the 2 located on the pass side (under seat, and under door jamb) were rusted/rotted that the frame is out of alignment with the body, maybe thats why the car always felt odd on turns.the nuts that hold the body to frame are broken free of the cage that holds them in place in the body,(fixing that today) then not much left to do on the chassis itself now....just waiting on heads from machine shop to start reassembling the engine. I am like the guy in that movie.."My science project" were the owner of a 69 GTO is so into his car that when it breaks down , he cant believe it and has it towed home late at night...thats me... lmao image ....tryn to leave nothing to chance for failure, especially on this drive, the heat is bad enough...anyway, the closer it gets to may 15-16th, The better life gets...., cant wait to see the row of trans ams. on the long fla straights, that would be a sight to see from the air.......... biggrin image

Yeah, to bad the Bandit run didn't go through IL. I could have the guys from the Unit fire up a bird and do a low fly by and tape it. Would be really good. biggrin image

Update: Got the CB and antenna installed lastnight. Going to try to tune it tonight. I need to install the new nitrous gauge. Dropping off the Bottle tonight to get tested and should have it by Thursday to get filled. Install that and the Nano system. Then off to get tuned for monday.

Put Blackbird strips on the nose of the bird. What a PIA that was! banghead image Trying to line both sides up so they mirror each other without haveing a clear picture of how it looks, looking through the backing paper. It's done though.

I've got to rip out the center counsel to see what keeps the shifter from engauging all the way in park. I'm thinking its some of the wires I've got running under there. I'm also putting a boot on the auto shifter handle. I'm tired of the plastic slides rattling, drives me crazy image !

Thursday: Redoing the Y-pipe so it doesn't scrap or bang on the floor boards.

Monday: New tune. One NA and one with Nitrous.
