This 1935 Auburn 851 Boattail Speedster is actually a beautifully executed, factory built replica. since it's more than 25 years old (it was made in 1980), it qualifies for it's historic vehicle license plates.

Me too, 'Coop! The Auburn 851 Boattail is one of my all-time favorites, along with many others of Gordon Buehrig's masterpieces. This car may have been built in 1980, but it's no kit car slapped together in someone's garage. It's a faithful replica with some modern upgrades that aren't visible to the observer unless you look very closely. Take a look at the bumper mounts, for instance. This car has the 5-mph bumpers mandated by the government on all new cars sold in this country after 1975. It also has 3-point seat belts and a steering column lock built into the dash-mounted ignition switch.
