I purchased this in very bad shape in 2001 with the intention to fix it up and turn a quick profit. I bought it for someone going thrpugh a bad divorce. Once I got the car home, my wife said that she wanted her own streetrod. I spent the next 14 months doing a frame up complete rebuild. New motor, wiring, interior and paint. The car was finished in October of 2002. We enter the car in the Chicago World of Wheels in January of 2003 and won the coveted Street Rod Champion Award, Best Paint, and First in Class. Later that year the car won the PPG Outstanding Use of Color Award at the Streetrod Nationals in Louisville, KY. The car has won many Best of Show and Best Paint over the years and has been a very dependable driver. It is really neat to have His and Her Street Rods.
This car is fitted with a Jon Barrett 350, 350 motor. The transmission is a turbo 350 with a 3:73 rearend. The car has heat and air and full power. The top is chopped 4 inches. The radiator was moved 4 inches forward to accomadate the air conditioning compressor, thus a custom hood was crafted. Every body panel was reworked and fitted.
