1956 Dodge Pickup
I purchased this truck a couple years ago & have slowly been working on it. It's a driver that still see's occasional use as a truck, (trips to the lumberyard, helping friends move etc.)
The engine is a 350 Chebbie (I know, I know - but it's what was in there when I bought it) Future plans include a MOPAR engine of some variety. - The dream would be one of the new "392" hemi crate motors, but the reality will probably be a 318 or 360 small block. The paint is Rustoleum flat black - straight out-o-the rattle can. The purple color is the color the truck was when I bought it. It was nice enough paint, but it was about the 3rd or 4th bad paint job on top of a bad paint job. Now that the weather is starting to warm up the truck will soon be all black. That way, as I get time & money to get some body work tackled, I'll be able to do a little work & repaint with a can so I can keep driving it. Othere future plans for the ol truck include doors with windows that roll up & down, new guages, an interior etc, etc, etc,
