Probably the shortest time I had ever owned a Corvette which was about a month. I was looking for a 65 and this car came up on the Canadian east coast for sale. The 65 I was offering on and evenually bought was available then not available as the owner could not make up his mind so I just bought this one.
Well as things usually turn out the 65 came available a few weeks later, actually while the 64 was in transit to Ontario. I received the car, titled it, determined what I bought and put it for sale. In the meantime bought the 65 and drove this 64 until it sold.
Great looking car with non original paint, later 8 inch rallys and non original side pipes. It has a non matching 327 with a 4 speed. The ideal driver for someone who wanted a solid Vette and didn't care about numbers. Sold it into the USA and that was it. Back then they were still reasonable in price and I could jump around on these cars making a thousand or so allowing me to get a better car next time. Those days are gone now with almost anyone thinking that if their car is older it has to be rare and valuable, translate that to "I want a lot of money for it".
side pipes, ralleys, custom interior
