My dad and I pulled it out of a field in Helper Utah in 1978. The top end of the motor was torn down, but the guy selling it said that his kids were just going to put a bigger Cam in it and that it should be fine. Dad looked at the Odometer and saw 132,000 miles. Dad didn't care he said shes "Cherry" and they settled on $800.00 and we loaded her up and hauled her back home to Green River WY. We put the top end togeather and fired her up!!!!Man the smoke!!!! We drove it around the block and it looked like we were spraying for bugs. Well, we rebuilt the 327 and used it for a family car until 1988. I was long gone in the Navy by then and dad decided to restore the old girl. By then it had a 350 and about 385,000 miles on her. In 1989 she was done and looking good. over the next 13 years dad only put another 22,000 miles on her. When he retired in 2002 he gave the car to me. I did another restoration on here in 2003. She has been a fun car. She will come off the road in the spring of 2013 for one final ground up restoration.
