In Progress along with the Ranchero and Wagon. What will be a serious street car.
The car is a completely rust free, never wrecked, no body filler car and in amazing shape for 46 years old. the decision to modify it was a hard one but stock is stock, I can't have that! anyone can have that!
Soon to have a narrowed 8.8 from a 99 Explorer 3:73 track lock and 31 spline axles, drilled and slotted rotors a rear sub frame with Art Morrison Triangulated 4 bar suspension and Alden coil overs.
The front suspension is from Fat Man Fabrications using 99 mustang struts with coil overs, drilled and slotted rotors and rack and pinion steering. both ends will be connected with custom sub frame connectors.
The engine is a twin turbo 331 SBF with AFR heads and all forged internals. F.A.S.T. EFI to include 2 4bbl throttle bodies.
Transmission will likely be an AODE or a T6 have not decided yet
The interior will have the rear seat deleted with just two buckets and full aluminum or carbon fiber panels installed. a high end sound system and custom gauge panel. Issis will be used for the wiring and accessory control
The exterior will be kept stock looking with all trim installed likely painted a dark blue
Rims will be from Shelby (Cobra style) 17x11 rear with 315 35 rubber and 17x8 front with 245. 40 rubber
The car is set up to be 3-5 inches lower than stock with a good stance and balance front to rear
This combination should handle well and go good for the street
