Started as a wrecked 6 cylinder auto owned by a starving college kid. I purchased the car for a project to use with a bunch of Boy Scouts that I was in charge of. They learned a few things about body work and engine work that left it pretty "well-used". I stored it away with the plan to do some type of hot rod.
During that time my wife's station wagon had an under-hood fire, so I rescued the 351W and put it in the shed with the Mustang.
Over the last several years we have been preparing the car as a tribute to Porsche and Mustang design elements. We call it the Mustorsche!
It is currently a work in progress.
351W with a built C-4 auto. Eldelbrock manifold and carb. Headers and 2.5" dual exhaust. Rack and pinon steering, GlobalSpec front suspension and Mustang Plus mid-eye rear springs. Frame stiffening and supports.
We have molded on Porsche 944 turbo rear fenders and Porsche 928 rear taillights. The front has 3" steel fender flairs and Shelby fiberglass hood and valance.
The Mustorsche has a center exit exhaust system and a fuel cell in the trunk. It will be painted Porsche Guards Red with Ford Palomino Shelby stripes.
It has a split and molded rear bumper to accentuate the wide-body design of the hot rod.
The wheels will be Porsche Fush design 18X8 front and 18X11 rear.
