A kinda spooky story, but if you don't care about that sort of thing you have a heck of a nice project car! I don't see why it would need much more than a new bumper, a thorough detailing, and a comprehensive going-through mechanically to show it as a survivor.

I bought this car from the son of the original owner. The owner passed away while driving this car back in 1971. The car went off the road and ended up on top of some rocks. There is some dents in the bumpers and the solid floors from the recovery effort. It was taken home and parked in the garage and forgotten about for 38 years. The son now in his late 70s decided it was time to sell it as his health was deteriorating. I brought the car home on a flatbed and couldn't believe the people that stopped at a traffic light to comment on the fact that the car was complete and still had the 1971 plates on it. One guy even commented that this car was only on the road for 5 years. I have the car in pieces now and i'm doing a frame off restoration. This car had seat covers on it from day one. It has 56000 miles on the 6cylinder 2spd powerglide. Had no problem starting it.Will keep you updated on the restorations.
