This was my first car. The year was 1973. When I got my license my father told me I could buy my sister's car off of him. That was my options! It had over a 100,000 miles on it, the bottom of the quarter panels were rotted off, the A frame was bent and it took a quart of oil with every gas fill up, but it was all mine! I couldn't afford a cool car like some of my friends. (One friend's father bought her a Bricklin for graduation and she didn't even realize how special it was!) So, even at this age, I wanted to get noticed! I wrapped the quarters in some sheet metal, puttied them up and got out the RUST-O-LEUM and my brushes and spent the summer painting.
Custom paint, dyed blue interior black and covered seats with leopard print faux fur. It was the 70's!!!!
