I purchased the bird in the late 80's to give to our oldest son for his 16th birthday in 1994. He drove it for a couple of months and then worked a deal with my Father-in-law to help him get a Suzuki Samari. It stayed in my in-laws garage for many years, then in 2005 I bought it again from my Father-in-law and started woking on it.
It was originally a Tudor with vinyl top. I have used a couple of donor cars to create a Aqua and Parchment interior. I then had some work done on the 390FE that included .40 over with header-work and headers attached to a 2.5 dual exhaust system.
It was a California car that was ordered with Air Conditioning Delete.
I painted the Bird a two-tone with turquoise on the top and Wimbledon white on the bottom. I used a coral color as an accent between colors and as highlights on some of the trim. I used Crown Vic 16X7 wheels to add a bit of a modern flare.
