this was one of my dads ss chevelles prob fav of the 3 he had in the eighties, ive tried a few times to track down the car with no luck.orig it was green with blk int and blk top, true ss 138 car,396,400 auto,4:11 posi re,thats how he purcased it with a locked up engine,he put a 70 built 396 in it,redone the interior and top in black and painted it metal flake candy apple red, installed the cragers, redone the exhaust,he later put aluminum heads on it which caused it to sit up high in the front so he lowered the frotn but it still would pull the front wheels off the ground when it would take off,he said it ran better with the cast heads.in the mid 80s he sold it and later seen it in a garage in east nashville at the time owned by a mike gennet(not sure if thats the correct spelling),then it was later seen in mid-late 90s with differnt wheels, differnt engine, and paint was faided on trunk,i know alot of stuff about the car that would make it where i would notice it if ever seen again,i would love to purchase this car back or atleast know where it went and what shape its in now,ive put some of the info on some chevelle sites hoping the current owner would belong to a club but i guess not,im pretty sure its still in tenn maybe still in nashville?sadly my dad passed away on thankgiving day of 06 so any help would be apprecitated on the where abouts of this ol ss chevelle, and like i said i know a lot of stuff (details)about the car.this 1 one of the 3 pics i have of the 68 as u can tell the pics is from the 80s and not in that good of shape
