Concours condition 1968 Oldsmobile Delta 88 two door hardtop Coupe. It was owned by a Californian lady from new for over 32 years. She then sold it to an Oldsmobile enthusiast who ended up immigrating to NZ. He took the car with him. Due to the cost of petrol in NZ and the smaller roads, he sold it - and I became the lucky 'recipient'. She only has 48,000 genuine miles on the clock.
455ci Rocket V8, 3 speed Turbo400 automatic transmission
Factory 'Freeze' Airconditioning unit and push button 'Wonderbar' radio which are both in excellent working order. It still has the clear plastic floor mats over the carpets and the headlining, seats and trim is like brand new.
This baby is completely original. I am planning on lifting out the engine and completely detailing the engine bay and re-chroming and detailing the engine block and parts. I have recently replaced the intake manifold with an Eidlebrock Aluminium Intake Manifold and fitted a 4bbl Rochester carburettor. I have also fitted a twin stainless steel free-flow exhaust system with balance pipe and 3" tips giving it that perfect 'rumble' sound when she lights up. The car is now generating about 400bhp as standard.
