Bought this in Nov 2003 out of an Old Car Trader! Car comes from Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. I'm going to build the 340 into stroker at .030 over, should be a 416 when I'm done. Another possibilty now recently is a hot 383 stroker giving me a 441 ci 6bbl. I have both engines, its a matter of making up my mind. It would cost me another 383 intake manifold to make the 6bbl setup go, but I'm running the 340 with the 3 Holley deuces already. I love this intake and carbs, as I have become something of an expert on setting them up, after many hop up parts and super advice from Ben Gorman of ProMax in Indianapolis.
340 @ .030 over, Crane Blazer 288/300 cam on 114 LSA, cast crank, adjustable rockers, 6 bbl induction, 4spd, 3.55 8 3/4" rear.
6 bbl setup, 3 Holleys at 500, 350, and 500 CFM for total 1350, which is a true 1050 according to a recent magazine article. Vacuum linkage on outboards, 30cc accelerator pump on middle carb, lightest secondary springs available, .031" shooter, Promax metering blocks in the outboards instead of the stock metering plates, so now I have jets and emulsifiers and bleeds in a block instead of just 2 holes in a plate.
