By the way, that is a nice story and I think it's really cool how the car has remained in the family. Keep it that way!

Photo of a 1970 Pontiac GTO Hardtop Coupe (Gran Turismo Omologato)

The original owner was my cousin on my moms side of the family. With a sticker price of 4,915.18 It was his highschool graduation present, WOW!
He had the car until 1980 when he sold it to my cousin on my dads side of the family for 1,600.00 Big Ones. Then in July of 2010 it was sold to his cousin, that would be me. Price tag, No comment. I have been the proud owner ever since. You know I just had to call up the first cousin who was the original owner and tell him what I bought. We live in the same town and don't you know that after 30 years he could not wait to come and take a look at his old friend. " I handed him the keys" "and said here! take her for uh spin" As the king of country music would say. He did just that, and the street he drove down might as well have been called "Memory lane" because for him that is exactly what his experience was. How often do we get to do that. She has had a few cosmetic issues thru the years that were dutifully addressed, but for the most part she is all original and full of personality. Polar White with brown interior. You don't see that combo to often... and like it I do.
