1971 Dodge Challenger (Killer)

Photo of a 1971 Dodge Challenger (Killer)

I have owned my Hemi orange 71 Challenger for 3 years now. I have always liked just about any muscle car but I have favored the 69 camaro or the black 77 & 78 Trans Ams. At the time that I began my search for my own muscle car my son had 5 69 camaros sitting in the yard waiting to be restored. He told me not to bother with buying one just pick one & get to work.
My brother , whom I go to car shows with to dream, told me of a Challenger that a friend of his had.The car had been sitting for a couple of years because the guy was an elderly gentleman who took it in on a trade. I was head set on a 69 camaro. He made a great point that you see a rainbow of 69`s at every show.
I have always liked the 70 Vanishing Point Challenger so I conceeded.I liked the car right away so I bought it.
I live 2 hours away & of course the car was not driveable after sitting ( tires & brakes) so I had to go home & get my sons car trailer.
The following weekend I drove it to a car show & had a great time. She is not a show car ( just a driver ) but I have been having fun finding parts along the way. My brother has since rebuilt the front end,i bought bulge hood, new nascar tires, original chrome exhaust tips, & I took out the console & painted it myself. Love the TA`s & sorry that I have missed the Bandit Run.
