Bought the car in '06 because I was looking for a better body than my rusty '72 Hatchback GT that had a '63 Buick Skylark all-aluminum 215 cubic in V8 and 5-speed in it.
This car was practically showroom stock and it did not run. It had a solid body, A/C and pop-out rear quarter windows. Perfect.
Drug it home (4 hours) and found the reason it didn't run. ..... It was out of gas! Been daily driving it ever since.
Steel-sleeved, aluminum block, iron head, 2.3L, 140 cubic inch, 4-cylinder.
Upgraded with H.E.I. electronic ignition distributor.
Swing-out rear quarter windows
'77 Chevy Monza 5-speed (Borg Warner T-50) with 0.80 overdrive.
Audiovox 8-track tape player (AM/FM stereo)
dual front speakers under the dash
Glass Pack muffler
