it is a 74 with a 70 front nose, and if you actually take the time to look at my photo album and read the info i had posted you would have known that, also my facts are quite right as i spent many years studying first and 2nd gen fire birds and trans ams so that i know what opitions go on what cars and whats factory and whats not.

I think you don't have your facts str8, The car here is NOT a 74, it's either a 72 or 73 formula. I had a 74 formula 400 and my brother had a 73 TA 455 SD. the car pic here has the nose of a 72 or 73 formula NOT a 74...It may be a 74 with the nose from a 73 firebird. I'd like to see what the tail lights look like, There's a huge difference between the 73 and 74 formula too

1974 pontiac firebird formula edition, i rescued this car from the impound lot for $500.00. i didnt mention the purchase to my parents b/c i didnt want to hear about how i have to many projects as it is. had small block chevy in it so i ripped that out and dropped in a fresh motor and trans


pontiac 455 bore .030 over with hotter cam, intake, and 77 6X heads with 97cc combustion chambers

update as of 4-15-09 the 350 has a few broken rings and needs a complete rebuild....not wasting the money on the 350 as i am dropping in a 455

update as of 10-01-09 finished the swap back in late may early june. had some bugs to work out (what doesnt) i have been going to shows and cruse ins all summer and having a blast with the new motor. completed my motor brake in by driving it to Trans Am Nationals in dayton ohio 500 miles each way plus driving around up there.
