1978 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham Salon four-door hardtop. Third owner, bought February 2007 off ebay in northwestern Iowa. This was my present to my wife for Valentine's Day!
250-horse 440 4-bbl NON-lean burn, auto.
Every single option offered EXCEPT leather, Auto Ride, Auto Temp, and sunroof! This is one of only seven confirmed known Salon cars to exist. The Salon added over $10K to the price of the New Yorker, which based at $13,200. Salon options included red or silver cloth or leather interior, formal rear window (like the '74 Imperial), special aluminum finned wheel covers with reflective trim rings and chrome center caps on 15" Rallye wheels, factory buffed silver basecoat/clearcoat paint (first in the US to have this!).
