1979 Pontiac Firebird 455 Formula. Had a pontiac 301. 2nd owner. Car is now restored. Interior completely restored down to factory floor mats. Front end rebuilt with all Moog parts. Rebuilt 1975 .030 over 455 with rebuilt TH350 trans. Car was purchased back in 1989 after finding it in a tiny little newspaper ad and was used as basic transportation. Original owner was a female who purchased the car brand new with a $8000 check from dad. After I purchased the car I beat on it for two years and wrecked the 54,000 mile 301 with just a few bottle blasts of NOS I installed on the little guy. Bone stock the car ran 13.96 sec in the qaurter mile on NOS with less than a 3 series gear. Ran neck and neck with stock 88 and 89 Mustang GT's and beat the automatics. Later I located a 455 block, rebuilt it and swapped out the tired 301 with it. Near 20 years later, removed the NOS and restored the scratched and rusted car back to the way it was. It now has no need for NOS and has some serious horse power. It has no fear of Mustang GT's and may even eat a few TA's for lunch. This pride and joy now comes out a few times a summer and sleeps in the garage.
