After CitiCar was forced out of business in the late 1970's, most of the assets were bought up by NJ trailer builder Frank Flowers. He made some additional changes to the Model "A" Hatchback to meet the new Federal Safty Standards and re introduced it as the Commuta-Car. In 1980 he outbid several other companies to get the contract to build EV Postal Delivery Van's. The original contract called for 500 vans to be built but I am told that only about 250 were ever produced. I have recently acquired several of these Postal Vans along with a Yellow 1980 Commuta-Car all in need of restoration. They are currently located in St. Petersburg, FL.
