Purchased as my graduation present to myself in 1993. It's only got about 10,000 miles added to it since then. It is one of about 275 convertibles ASC made that year.
These cars started life as Mercury Capris, wich were sent partially finished from Ford's factory to ASC where they were finished into the ASC/Mclaren design (design by Peter Muscat)
Due to the rarity of these vehicles I have chosen to keep it as near stock as possible, but lately I have just HAD to make changes; I needed the ability to play CD's in the car, and 200 HP just isn't enough any more, so the MAF conversion should pave the way for future performance upgrades.
200HP 5.0L (There are rumors that the ASC/Mclaren cars got upgraded cam's and make more than the 200HP the 5.0L H.O. was rated at for 1986 but I haven't even had a rocker cover off yet, so I don't know for sure)
Tail light covers.
Short rubber antenna mast.
5-speed T-5 manual trans.
