I acquired this 1986 Dodge 600 Turbo 600 Convertible on EBAY a few weeks ago. The seller stated that the top had been slashed, the front brakes probably would need replacing, the drivers seat was worn, and thought it to ba a fixer upper. He stated that the good things about the car were it's 77,000+ miles, being completely rust free, housed most of it's life, very straight body and excellent driver, and a very clean interior. He even had extra parts that would go with the purchase. The owner lives in Manhatten, NY and the car was stored at his partners Dad's home in NJ. I took a bus to the city and the guys drove me to where my new fun machine was stored. At first glance I thought I may have made a mistake. I saw a car that was dirty, the top held together with duck tape, and on my test drive the front brakes were grinding on every stop. Well, I still couldn't be more proud of my new convertible. I added air to the tires, premium fuel to the tank, took the guys to lunch (at which time they gave me directions on how to get out of the city the quickest and with the least amount of brake use) and started my journey to Nashua, NH some five hours away. I now have all new front brakes, a new top, completely cleaned the interior and exterior and absolutely love driving and working on my new toy. I'm still looking for a Dodge K or 600 Convertible club and any information wnere original parts, service manuals, door tire pressure decals, original MSRP sheet, and detail pics can be found.
