1987 Pontiac Grand Am SE (Cheap-n-Sleazy)

Photo of a 1987 Pontiac Grand Am SE (Cheap-n-Sleazy)

No longer owned

My first car. My parents paid $1,000 for it with around 140k miles on it. I don't have any pics of it, but this pic is the same exact body style as mine was. Mine was dark blue with gold trim, gold Bonneville SSEi spoke wheels, and limo-black tinted windows. It was pretty cool looking, for a first car anyways. It had a kickin' stereo system I built myself with pawn shop and RadioShack parts (don't let the cheap fool you - it hit 132 dB pretty clean for under $500). It was a real fun car, but a huge pain in the butt, too. It tore up three axle-shafts before we finally realized it had a bad motor mount that was letting it flex so much it pulled the shaft apart. It went to the junkyard when the engine spun a bearing at 165k.
