I think instead of the Grand National I'll buy a low mileage 20th Anniversary, I'll have the best of both worlds, Trans Am w/ GN motor...

I've been looking for a 2nd set. I can't seem to find any. I would also like a couple sets of Goodyear Gatorbacks (factory tire) I think for most people as it is for me, we relive the good ole days. And this car brings back the days where I may or may not have showed up for work depending on what was going on and it really didn't matter! I had an 85 in high school (parents thought a 1970 Road Runner 440+6 was too unreliable, so I got a new Trans Am for my 16th B-day, I was wicked disappointed, go figure) anyway, in 1987 when the 350 came out, I had to have one so I talked my parents into how dangerous T-Tops were so they lamented and I had my light blue metallic Trans Am with the 350. I loved the IROC-Z but would never admit it back then. My friend Brian had the first IROC-Z delivered in Denver, I'll never forget, the day he got it, it was the promotional car and wasn't supposed to have been sold yet, he broke a rim via curb and had to wait almost a year for a new rim. Another friend of mine who's father worked at the GM parts plant received a 1986 Vette with a stick, I remember not being able to keep up, I tried to talk my father into buying a Grand National but I couldn't convince him that it was a family car, with 2 doors and all. I looked at getting one of those instead of the 87 but the family truckster looks just didn't do it, although, come to find out that car is one I should have taken, it was a GNX (same rims at Trans Am). Anyway, quick story ;-) We were drinking Jack and Bud as we usually did when skipping school and my buddy duck taped cardboard wings on his Vette (I was playing pool in his basement or with the girls can't remember), anyway, I walked outside and immediately started to laugh, I knew what his father was going to do to him and he was about 15min away from getting home from work. My buddy in his infinite wisdom said, "I always knew if it had wings, it would fly." That car had the funniest missing paint for six months, he had to get a job to have the doors repainted... So, I was always amazed at how my 350 Trans Am was faster than his 67 RS/SS Camaro 350/295 4 speed PS, PB car that he got for $3,500 with 60,000 miles and needed an engine refresh and was perfect otherwise which was way cheaper than the 1970 Red Road Runner 440+ 4speed car that was $5,500 in 1985, the same dealership had a 1970 RT/SE Charger 444 auto Black with Tan leather PW, PL and A/C. Ahh, the good ole days...
