Paid $300 for this truck when I turned 16. Wrecked it twice, first time rolled it 2 times into a creek. put a cab out of a junk yard on it and got it back on the road. The second I rear ended a Neon and messed up the radiator support.
Currently parked, timing chain guides are gone and chain has been slapping the timing cover, maybe that was the wierd noise that annoyed the hell outta me all the time? But the motor is out and tore down, found out it was worse than I thought, rod and main bearings were at the end of their life, valve seals were leaking, cam wore down, cylinder walls are wore and lots of carbon build up. Got big plans for the motor, will update when finished, but I will say Im gonna have some help from LCEngineering.
1988 frame and bed, ’85 cab and 90’s 22RE 5 speed, 4:10 gears, brand new Mastercraft 31X10.50s. Truck has 250,xxx on it and the motor proably had close to 300,xxx
This truck is about as basic as it gets, but its got chrome!. This thing aint even got a cigerette lighter and didnt even have a casette player, but its got all the chrome trim you would see on an SR5. And with the new cab i got vent windows and a sliding rear window which i really like but they leak.
roll bar, which actually works, beleive me i know, brush guard, fog lights, straight piped, Sunpro guages, oil pressure, water temp, volt meter and tach and Pioneer CD player and Sony speakers, will post info on the motor when its done
