1992 Ford Thunderbird SuperCoupe (747/snow plow)

This is my '92 SC thats been converted to race car status. Its soul purpose is to be a competative road race/autocross car. It is also possibly the lightest weight SC on the planet with the mods that it has. The car should weight in between 2800-3000lbs with me in it which is very good concidering stock it weighed right around 4000lbs. I look forward to this season of autocross to work the bugs out of it and possibly get one or two track events in as well.

Instead of the standard 3.8L supercharged V6 that comes in the SC I have put in instead the venerable Ford 5.0L bord .30 over to make 306ci. The standard M5R2 5spd transmission will be used and aluminum 8.8 rear IRS stuffed with 3.27 will be out back. A Mark8 one piece aluminum drive shaft cut to proper length is called to duty to connect the transmission to the rear end. A B&M shifter will aid with banging gears on the road courses.
